Handicap rules
Can a roll up day be cancelled, or played on another day?+
Yes. If a roll up day clashes with a club competition, the admin can cancel it from the calendar on Today, any time before the day. There's no sign-up, draw or scoring that day.
Anyone can play on a day that isn't the usual roll up day: just pick that date when entering a score. It shows as an ad hoc competition ("A" on the calendar) and counts like any other day.
How are handicaps changed?+
The app does it automatically when the day is closed. Every change is logged with its reason on the Players page.
Each roll up sets its own numbers: the admin edits them in Settings → Handicap rules. The figures below are your roll up's current ones.
What if I win?+
The day's winner is cut 1.
What about the 2s pot?+
Anyone who wins a share of the 2s pot is cut 1. If someone gets a hole in one they take the whole pot, and only they get this cut.
What if I score over 36 points?+
You are cut 1 for every point over 36, counting blobs as a point each (same as the under-30 rule). Example: 38 points + 1 blob = 3 cut.
Can I go back up?+
Yes. If your points plus blobs add up to less than 30, you get 1 back.
Your handicap can never go above your 100% playing handicap off the home course's base tee (chart below), however many blobs. Example off the Cambridge CC Yellow tees: WHS 14.7 = max 15.
What if I pull out?+
Withdraw after the draw: cut 1.
Withdraw on the day: cut 2.
No-show without notice: cut 3.
Which handicap is used on the day?+
Your society handicap, turned into shots for the tee you choose. Pick your tee before entering scores so the right shots are given.
Yellow tees playing handicap chart+
Cambridge CC Yellow · Slope 120 · Rating 70 · Par 71 · 100% allowance. Your max society handicap.
Playing off another tee: you get your society hcp plus the difference between that tee's and the Yellow playing handicaps from your WHS index. Cuts always apply to the society hcp.

League tables
Day winner+
Highest Stableford points on the day wins.
Most wins+
Count of wins in the chosen year.
Running average+
Your average Stableford points across all rounds in the year.
Gibbo Swing+
The biggest handicap movement (up or down) over the calendar year.
Blob league+
Total blobs (holes with no points) in the year, plus blobs per round.
2s league+
Total number of 2s scored in the year.
Eclectic+
Your best gross score on each of the 18 holes across the year. Once every hole has a score, your total against par is shown.
Best 3 from 4 teams+
Each group entered together is a team. On every hole the best 3 Stableford points out of the 4 count; the 18 holes are added up for the team score.
Teams of 3: when the day is closed, a card from a 4-ball is drawn to join them (a different player for each 3-ball, or the same player for all, as set by the admin), then best 3 from 4 is worked out. The drawn player wins nothing.
If every group is a 3-ball (e.g. 6 or 9 players), no card is drawn: teams play best 2 from 3.
Teams level on points are split on the team's back 9, then last 6, last 3 and the 18th.
Money
What does it cost?+
£3 each week: £1 to the 2s pot, £1 to the singles winner, £1 to the winning team.
How are subs tracked?+
Tap "Subs paid" in the Money panel on a closed day to see who has paid their £3. Only the admin can tick people off; everyone can see the list.
Away tours work the same way, on the tour's Boards page, once the admin has set the entry fee and prize money in tour Setup.
2s pot+
Shared between everyone who scores a 2. A hole in one takes the whole pot. If nobody scores a 2, it carries over to next week.
Team money+
Shared by the winning team's own players, 3 or 4 ways. A blind card drawn to make up a team of 3 does not win money.
Tie-breakers
How are ties settled?+
Countback: best back 9, then last 6, last 3, then the last hole.
Do teams use countback?+
Not yet. Teams level on points stay in the order they are listed.
